Although the Pokémon Trading Card Game released the Fossil expansion over two decades ago, many of the retro cards from the TCG set are now worth a lot of money in 2022. Following the massive success of the Base Set and Jungle expansions in 1999, Nintendo released the Fossil set in November. The third development highlighted well known characters from the Gen 1 Pokémon Red and Blue RPGs. During the first year of the TCG in quite a while, nobody might have anticipated that collectibles from the tabletop game would one day be worth cash.
